Deep forest green Kota silk, hand-printed in Akola daabu florals, with a contrast olive chanderi ghera that catches the eye like a clearing in the trees. Embroidery in sequins, pitta work and cut dana adorns the ghera and neckline. Double colour contrast piping traces the panels, punctuated with paired gota flowers and beads at intervals — quiet craftsmanship that reveals itself slowly.

The sleeves flare at the wrist into borders of tanchoi and chevron brocade in deep reds and orange — the warmth the whole palette has been waiting for. Paired with a straight salwar in heavy viscose satin with delicate hand-embroidered specks, and a leheriya tabby silk dupatta that borrows its colours directly from the sleeve border, edged in champa gota.
